UniTeam Senate bet Mark Villar is eyeing the completion of the Camarines Sur (CamSur) Expressway project if elected in the May 9, 2022 polls.

The CamSur Expressway project will be a four-lane, 15.21-kilometer road that is projected to reduce travel time and traffic congestion in Naga City during the summer months.
It will also include bicycle lanes, sidewalk fixtures, waterways, overpass structures, and rest bays.
“The project would serve as an alternate route for motorists going to the southern and eastern municipalities of Camarines Sur including those going to the provinces of Albay and Sorsogon as well as portions of Mindanao. The project will reduce travel time from San Fernando to Pili from 51 minutes to only 11 minutes," Villar said in a press statement on Friday, April 22.
A former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary, Villar served as the face and hands of the Duterte administration’s flagship “Build, Build, Build” program.
He is running for Senate under the UniTeam alliance led by presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and the latter's running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
