Bongbong-Sara tandem dominates HKPH-ARC pre-election survey

Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio have dominated a presidential-vice-presidential voter preference survey conducted by the HKPH-Public Opinion and Research Center/Asia Research Center.

The results of the survey conducted from April 3 to 8 with 5,500 respondents have shown that Marcos Jr. was the most preferred presidential candidate with 54 percent.

His closest opponent, Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo, got 26 percent of voter preference.

Other presidential candidates who registered less than 10 percent were Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso with 8 percent, Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson with 7 percent, and Senator Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao with 2 percent.

The remaining 2 percent were still undecided, while 1 percent refused to reveal their choice.

Meanwhile, Marcos’ running mate Duterte was the top pick for vice president with 57 percent of voter preference.

Duterte was followed by Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto with 33 percent, Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan with 6 percent, Doc Willie Ong with 1 percent, and Buhay party-list Rep. Jose "Lito" Atienza with 1 percent.

The 1 percent of respondents were still undecided, while 1 percent refused to reveal their pick.
