The easterlies or warm and humid winds originating from the Pacific Ocean will continue to bring fair and warm weather with a slight chance of isolated rains throughout the country, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, April 21.
“Patuloy na umiiral easterlies sa buong bahagi ng ating bansa. Dala pa rin nito ang mainit at maalinsangan na panahon lalo na sa tanghali at ‘yung mga tiyansa ng pulo-pulo at panandaliang pag-ulan lalo na sa hapon at gabi (Easterlies prevail throughout the country. It will still bring hot and humid weather and isolated short-term rains in the afternoon and evening),” said PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda in a public weather forecast.
Most parts of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers. Filipinos were likewise warned against the possible flash floods that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Castañeda advised the public to remain indoors and limit outdoor activities amid the scorching heat to prevent heat stroke.
No weather disturbance is expected to affect the country in the next 24 hours, Castañeda added.
