In a statement, Comelec Commissioner George Garcia said the 372,878 defective ballots, which is 0.58 percent of the total ballots, will be reprinted.

"We will just complete the reprinting and the printing of other forms then, it (defective ballots) will be destroyed. We will issue a notice," he said on Thursday, April 22.

It was on April 2 when the Comelec finished the printing of the official ballots for the May 2022 pills at the National Printing Office in Quezon City.

The poll body finished the printing ahead of schedule. The target end date was April 25.

Ballot printing started Jan. 23.

The Comelec already started the deployment of official ballots and supplies for the upcoming polls this week.

From the Comelec warehouse in Pasig, the ballots and supplies will be brought to the city/municipal treasurer's offices nationwide.
