Chinese woman rescued from abductors in Parañaque City

A Chinese woman, who was abducted and forced to work as a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) concessioner, was rescued by Parañaque City police operatives on Wednesday, April 20.

Col. Maximo Sebastian, city police chief, identified the victim as Qu Xuesong, 35.

The city police chief said Xuesong’s boyfriend identified as Chunqiang Wu, 31, received a call from the victim, asking for help because she was kidnapped.

Sebastian said Wu immediately proceeded to the suspects’ place and asked for the release of Xuesong, but the kidnappers demanded P400,000 in exchange for the freedom of the victim.

Wu immediately reported the incident to the police. He claimed that Xuesong was fetched by the suspects in front of Arista Homes in Parañaque City on Monday, April 18, and promised her a job.

The victim was brought to Factor Compound in Barangay Don Galo, Parañaque where the suspects forced her to work as POGO concessioner.

Sebastian said the responding cops found the woman abandoned in the compound at about 9:30 p.m. Her kidnappers left the place before the lawmen arrived.

Upon learning of the incident, Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, Southern Police district director, ordered the Parañaque City Police to conduct an investigation and intensify intelligence gathering to stop illegal detention and extortion incidents involving Chinese nationals.
