CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Thirty individuals wanted by law, including three rape suspects, were arrested in a week-long intensified manhunt operation conducted by the Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PROCOR) in the region.
Capt. Marnie Abellanida, deputy regional information officer, said the highlights of these accomplishments is the arrest of 10 individual listed as Most Wanted Person, including three at the Regional Level, three at the Provincial Level, two at the Municipal Level and two at the Station Level.
Based on Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division’s April 10-16 reports, Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 12 wanted persons, followed by Kalinga PPO with seven arrests.
Benguet PPO arrested five wanted persons, Abra PPO and Mt. Province PPO each arrested two wanted persons, while Ifugao and Apayao arrested one wanted person each.
At the Regional Level, Gilbert Aglugub, listed as No. 5, was arrested for the crime of rape; Edwardo Bangelan, listed as No. 7, was arrested for the crime of robbery with homicide; and Hazel Sawey, listed as No. 9, was arrested for Illegal recruitment in large scale.
At the Provincial Level, Jeffer Guiwed and Joel Pagedped, both listed No.2, were arrested for the crime of rape while Mark Guilford Puddong, listed as No.8, was arrested for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
Meanwhile, at the Municipal Level, Jay-Ar Gaem, listed as No, 2, was arrested for violation of the Anti-Child Abuse Law; and Ricky Gunnawa, listed as No.5, was arrested for violation of RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act.
Lastly, at the Station Level, Josie Colom, listed as No. 5 was arrested for the crime of Estafa while Clarissa Barillo, listed as No. 10 was arrested for the crime of Theft.
