Rep. Malapitan thanks President Duterte for endorsing his mayoral bid

Caloocan City mayoral candidate and District 1 Rep. Dale “Along” Malapitan on Tuesday, April 19, thanked President Duterte for endorsing him and his Team Aksyon at Malasakit for the upcoming May 9 elections.

Duterte formally endorsed the team during the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) national and local grand rally held on Congressional Road in Brgy. 173, Caloocan City on Tuesday.

The president expressed his admiration to the congressman and his father, incumbent Mayor Oscar Malipatan, for their service to the people of Caloocan. He also threw his support to the team's commitment to continue the progress in the city.

“Noon pa man, hanga na tayo sa tapang at malasakit ni President Duterte (We have admired the courage and concern of President Duterte),” Rep. Malapitan said.

“Ang pagsuportang ito ay nagpapatunay sa kakayanan ng mga kandidato sa ilalim ng Team Aksyon at Malasakit. Hindi ko po bibiguin ang aking nasasakupan sakaling sa akin po nila ibigay ang pribilehiyong maging alkalde ng Caloocan (This support proves the competence of Team Aksyon at Malasakit candidates. I will not disappoint my constituents if they will give me the privilege to become the mayor of Caloocan,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mayor Malapitan also thanked the president for the administration’s invaluable support to the city’s development.

“Ang pagtitiwala ng PDP-Laban at ng ating pangulo ay tanda ng isa sa ating ipinaglalaban -- ang maipagpatuloy ang ating nasimulan tungo sa pag-unlad ng mahal nating lungsod at bawat pamilya sa Caloocan (The PDP-Laban and our president’s trust signifies one of the visions that we pursue -- to continue what we’ve started for the progress of our beloved city and each family in Caloocan),” the mayor said.
