Palace declares May 21 as special non-working day in Malabon City
The Malabon City government announced on Wednesday, April 20, that Malacañang declared May 21, 2022 as a special non-working holiday in the city for its 423rd Founding Anniversary celebration.
Under Proclamation Number 1341 S. 2022, signed by Executive Secretarty Salvador Medialdea, the date was declared a holiday to give the Malabon citizens opportunity to celebrate and participate in activities related to the occasion.
The activities for the foundation day are yet to be announced.
The local government also said that April 21, 2022, which is the Malabon’s 21st Cityhood Anniversary, remains a regular working holiday.
Malabon City was founded on May 21, 1599 and was declared a city on April 21, 2021.
