Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Bongbong Marcos has vowed to address the biggest headache of Occidental Mindoro residents--exorbitant electricity rates.

Marcos was able to touch base with local folk during a quick swing to the province Wednesday, April 20.
“Natanggap ko ang listahan ninyo, sa Occidental Mindoro ang inaalala ng tao, number one kailangan ang susunod na administrasiyon ay makahanap ng paraan na bawasan ang singil ng kuryente sa taumbayan para makita natin na hindi masyadong nahihirapan ang mga tao (I received your list, the number one desire of Occidental Mindoro residents is for the next administration to find a way to reduce electricity costs for the people and ease their burden)," the UniTeam presidential bet was quoted as saying in a statement sent to reporters.
“Balita ko dito madalas ang brown out. Kailangan nating ayusin yan, napakalaking problema niyan (I heard that brown outs are frequent. We need to fix that, that's a huge problem),” he said.
Brown outs mean power interruptions, which occur when a certain region has a power supply shortfall.
The survey-leading Marcos said he is convinced that the fastest way to bring the province to greater progress and development is to ensure the continuous supply of affordable power, which in the process would stimulate trade activities and commerce.
Marcos is expected to fly to Lipa in Batangas early Wednesday evening for a UniTeam rally.
