K-pop group Seventeen's Jeonghan recovers from Covid-19
K-pop boy band Seventeen member Jeonghan has recovered from Covid-19 in one week, his agency said.
“We would like to inform you that Seventeen member Jeonghan has made a full recovery from Covid-19 and his quarantine has concluded as of today ,” said Pledis Entertainment.

Jeonghan tested positive on a self-test kit he took on April 13. He underwent a rapid antigen test, which confirmed he had Covid-19. He experienced symptoms of sore throat and mid cough.
“Jeonghan has been administering self-treatment at home as per health authority guidelines and has not shown any extraordinary symptoms. As his quarantine has concluded, he can resume his activities starting from today,” the agency said.
It added, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the fans who have shown concerns for our artists’ health and also to the staff members of the health authorities working tirelessly to overcome the pandemic. We will continue to place our highest priority on the health and safety of our artists and fully cooperate with the requests and guidelines of healthcare authorities.”
Jeonghan was the 10th member of Seventeen to test positive for Covid-19. From Feb. 12 to March 8, nine members of Seventeen were diagnosed with the virus. They were Wonwoo, Vernon, Hoshi, S.Coups, DK, Seungkwan, The 8, Joshua and Jun who all fully recovered.
South Korea recorded 111,319 new Covid-19 cases on April 20 to bring the total confirmed cases to 16.58 million.
The country has been experiencing a surge in Covid-19 cases since February due to the Omicron variant. The total averaged 107,527 new Covid-19 cases per day in the past week.
