Fire hits Araneta Coliseum

A fire incident was reported inside the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City on Wednesday, April 20.

Based on a Facebook live of the Quezon City Fire District 5, the fire was reported in the upper section of the coliseum.

According to Bureau of Fire Protection Public Information Office(BFP-NCR PIO) the fire reached 1st alarm at around 10:42 a.m. and was declared under control at around 10:52 a.m.

The blaze was declared fire out at around 1:08 p.m.

An ongoing Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) 3x3 grand Finals was ongoing when the fire started.

The said event was put on hold and participants were asked to vacate the area.

As of this writing, no injuries or casualties were reported.
