An 'Iconic' comeback for Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and Megastar Sharon Cuneta

The two Philippine iconic divas are coming back on the concert stage after their sold-out live performance last 2019. This year's Iconic concert will be held at The Marriott Grand Ballroom, Resorts World Manila.

Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid shared how excited she is to sing on stage with her long-time friend Megastar Sharon Cuneta. The connection between the two singers was perfect and raw.

"I'm so excited kasi, I get to be with Ate Sharon again. Kasi, Actually after nung concert namin (Actually, after our concert), three years ago, we were going to tour the show but unfortunately nga nagkaroon ng pandemic (the pandemic happened), so I'm so happy that finally, we are touring this concert.

"By the way, isa siguro ito sa mga pinakamagandang concert na ginawa namin (By the way, this is one of the best concert we've done)," said Regine during the press conference.

Under the production of the Full House Theater Company, the comeback concert will be directed by Paolo Valenciano and musical arrangement by Louie Ocampo and Raul Mitra.

According to Sharon, collaborating with this new team was fun and exciting, but she puts all her trust in Regine in making it come to life with the help of Paolo.

"It was fully trusted, because she's so knowledgeable, and I have to say knowledgeable about music. But also about all my songs," Sharon said.

This Iconic concert is surely worth the wait, fans will now witness the two legendary divas performing live again on June 17 and 18. The tickets are now available at all Ticketworld and SM Ticket outlets. (Carissa Alcantara)
