Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the earthquake at 123 kilometers (km) southeast of Manay, Davao Oriental, and was shallow at a depth of 70 km.

On Tuesday, April 19, state seismologists registered a 6.2-magnitude quake, which also originated near Manay, Davao Oriental.
