The Taguig City government tallied 1,188 new Covid-19 cases in March with 56 active cases by the end of last month.
Data from the city government showed that the confirmed cases in Taguig City rose from 64,593 on March 1 to 65,781 on March 31 or 1,188 new cases for the month, or an average of 38 new cases per day.

In March, the number of recovered cases totaled 1,153 from 64,081 on March 1 to 65,234 on March 31.
There were 26 individuals with Covid-19 who died in Taguig last month from 465 on March 1 to 491 on March 31.
In February, Taguig had 3,270 new Covid-19 with its confirmed cases rising from 61,308 on Feb. 1 to 64,578.
From March 25 to 31, Taguig recorded 426 additional Covid-19 cases consisting of 55 new cases and 371 late cases.
The city government tallied 58 additional cases on March 25, 68 on March 26, 62 on March 27, 67 on March 28, 66 on March 29, 49 on March 30 and 56 on March 31.
From March 18 to 24, it recorded 312 new Covid-19 cases consisting of 37 new cases and 275 late cases. Taguig had 148 new cases from March 4 to 10 and 276 from March 11 to 17.
In its new report, the Taguig City government no longer included the additional cases that were reported late to its City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CEDSU).
As of April 1, there are 837,585 fully vaccinated individuals in Taguig consisting of 802,449 who were vaccinated in Taguig hubs and 35,136 in private vaccination centers. The total number of fully vaccinated persons is equivalent to 95 percent of Taguig’s estimated population of 882,512.
There are also 218,056 persons who have received their booster shots while 69,118 minors aged 12 to 17 are now fully vaccinated. Among the five to 11 years old, 22,251 have also been fully vaccinated.
Mayor Lino Cayetano said vaccination is one of the main reasons why Taguig has low hospitalization and case fatality rates.
