J-Hope flies to US to join BTS for the 64th Grammy Awards

K-pop idol J-Hope left South Korea for the US on April 2 to join other BTS members for the 64th Grammy Awards, which will be held on April 3 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

J-Hope boarded his flight for Los Angeles at Incheon International Airport where he was greeted by fans and the media. Before he left, J-Hope posted photos on his Instagram account with the caption "Go to LV."

He was diagnosed with Covid-19 on March 24 and recovered on March 30.

“We would like to inform you that BTS member J-Hope has made a full recovery from Covid-19 and his quarantine has concluded as of today, March 30,” said Big Hit Music.

It added, “J-Hope has been administering self-treatment at home since last Wednesday, the 23rd and as his quarantine has concluded, J-Hope can resume his activities starting from today. He experienced mild symptoms of a sore throat during his quarantine, but he is recovering fast.”

“J-Hope is scheduled for departure to participate in the Grammy Awards activities and he will adhere to COVID-19 guidelines for air travel during his departure. It has been confirmed that there is no issue regarding his participation in the Grammy Awards according to the local quarantine guidelines,” the agency said.

Jungkook was the first to fly to the US on March 27 followed by RM, Jin, Suga, V and Jimin on March 28. Jungkook tested positive for Covid-19 in Las Vegas on March 28.

BTS are nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit song "Butter” at this year’s Grammy Awards. They will also perform at the awards show.

After the Grammy Awards, BTS will hold their “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-Las Vegas” concert on April 8, 9, 15 and 16 at Allegiant Stadium.
