Five Negros Occidental LGUs downgraded to Alert Level 1

BACOLOD CITY - Five local government units (LGUs) in Negros Occidental were placed under Alert Level 1, while the rest of the province remains under Alert Level 2 until April 15, 2022.

This was stated in Executive Order No. 22-13-A, issued by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on April 1. The EO cited the resolution issued by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) as the basis for downgrading the five local units to Alert Level 1.

The LGUs placed under Alert Level 1 were the cities of Sagay and La Carlota, and the municipalities of E.B. Magalona, Pulupandan, and San Enrique.

As of April 1, 2022, the province has 41,355 confirmed Covid-19 cases, including 40 active cases, 1,963 deaths, and 39,351 recoveries.

The province has not recorded any new cases on Friday.

Meanwhile, the province has also eased the travel restrictions, requiring only fully-vaccinated travelers with vaccination cards, while unvaccinated or partially-vaccinated travelers are required to present a non-reactive rapid antigen test result prior to travel.
