OLONGAPO CITY, Zambales— The Aetas tribe on Tuesday, April 19, endorsed the tandem of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan for president and vice president, respectively, citing their track records and experiences in honest public service.

Fe Domulot, chieftain of the community of Aetas in Botolan, Zambales, and other members of the indigenous peoples (IPs) community raised the hands of Robredo and Pangilinan.
“Kami po ang nandirito sa inyong harapan ngayon, mga katutubo kami. Titindig at lalaban kami para sa tambalang Leni at Kiko Pangilinan (We are here in front of you, we are indigenous people. We are going to stand and fight for the tandem of Leni and Kiko Pangilinan),” she said.
“Kaya ako, mga kapatid, alam niyo po kung bakit si Madam Leni at Kiko ang gusto namin? Alam niyo po kung bakit? Dahil sila po ang merong malawak at may malalim na karanasan sa paglilingkod (That’s why, my brothers, do you know why we like Madam Leni and Kiko? Do you know why? Because they are the ones with a vast experience and deep experience in service),” the IP chieftain added.
Domulot also noted the tandem’s experience in helping the downtrodden and their experience with the needy.

She also praised Robredo and Pangilinan for knowing how to pay their debts and for never being involved in corruption in their years of service.
“Kaya po mga kapatid, bakit pa tayo maghahanap? Alam po natin sa kanilang panunungkulan ay ni isa sa atin hindi nila itininda. May sarili silang paninidigan. Alam po natin ‘yan (That’s why my brothers, why are we looking for more? We know that in their service they did not sell any one of us. They have their own stand. We know that),” Domulot said.
Kakampinks came in droves and filled the Magsaysay Drive in Olongapo City despite the heat of the sun.
They were treated by Robredo dancing with the performers of the San Felipe Fiesta dance upon her entrance during the “Olongapink” Zambales rally. She also raised a basket of ripe mangoes before ending the performance.

Robredo’s supporters also showed their love by singing the “happy birthday” song for the Vice President, who will turn 57 years old on Saturday, April 23, and plans to commemorate it with a grand rally along Macapagal Blvd. in Pasay City.
Beside a happy birthday song, the supporters also chanted “walang magwi-withdraw (No one will withdraw)” when megastar Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan mentioned a joint press conference by Robredo’s rivals on Easter Sunday.
The kakampinks were referring to Manila Mayor Isko Moreno’s call for the Vice President to withdraw from the presidential race.
