Team Bagong Navotas warns residents vs fake cash prize text message

The Team Bagong Navotas led by Navotas City mayoral candidate Raymond “RC” Cruz on Monday, April 18, warned the public against a text message saying that the team is providing cash prizes and cellphones.

In a post on Cruz’s Facebook page on Monday, the team said that they received information about a text message informing residents that they were chosen to receive P10,000 cash and a cellphone from the team. The message also asks for the recipient to reply for others details regarding the prize.

The Team Bagong Navotas said the message is not from their camp, as well as the phone number used for sending it.

“Simula po noong nagsimula ang campaign period noong March 25, 2022 ay huminto na ang aming team sa ano mang programang nagbibigay papremyo sa ating mga mamamayan, ayon sa ipinagbabawal ng batas (Since the start of the campaign period on March 25, 2022, our team has already stopped any program that gives prizes to our people because that is prohibited by law),” it added.

The team also reminded the residents not to believe such text messages and to always be careful.
