Michelle Dee presents her advocacies with a stunning dress

'She owned the look, she wore it with elegance—playful yet fierce.'

It has been more than a week and we are still mesmerized by Michelle Dee’s arrival look. During Miss Universe Philippines 2022’s press presentation last April 9, Makati City’s representative Aimed to present the many advocacies she supports—autism, mental health, and the LGBTQIA Community—through fashion. Helping her to achieve that is KNHDesigns, creating a dress that is full of color and meaning.

“We wanted to showcase Michelle’s sweet but fierce look,” KNHDesigns tells Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “We revisited the ‘90s mini dress silhouette and knowing about her advocacies, we had the perfect fabric in mind. The rainbow sequin fabric used for the dress was sourced overseas. It was one of our unique purchases since we travel often just to source out fabrics specifically for our clients.”

With the help of stylists Francis Chee and Vhee Co, KNH Designs was able to give Michelle a look that truly caught everyone's attention. This is not the first time the homegrown fashion label produced a piece for Michelle. During her reign as Miss World Philippines 2019, the beauty queen has been donning the brand’s pieces.

“Michelle’s style has evolved through the years and, safe to say, it was always fiercely chic.,” it says. “She owned the look, she wore it with elegance—playful yet fierce.”

The coronation night of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 30.
