Catriona Gray endorses Leni Robredo, Kiko Pangilinan

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has endorsed Leni Robredo for president; and Kiko Pangilinan for vice president.

Catriona made the announcement on YouTube in a special video entitled "Pinuno: Para Sa Bayan" on Monday, April 18.

“My vote for Vice President is Kiko Pangilinan. And my choice for president is Leni Robredo. She’s the only candidate with experience in all three branches of the government: judiciary as a volunteer lawyer, legislative as a congresswoman, and executive as a vice president," Catriona said.

Catriona enumerated the qualities of a good leader: qualified (educational attainment and employment background), history (achievements and developments), service (how they work for our best interest and programs they pursued), platform (plans and vision for our nation); and values (how the leader stood on issues).

"I usually shy away from politics. But politics should not be a conversation but a necessity for everyone," the singer-commercial model said. "Your vote is your own and no one else's. There is power in a single vote."

The Australian-Filipino beauty queen also said that she respects the decision of other voters when it comes to choices of leaders.
