Saso finishes 56th at Lotte Championship

Yuka Saso shot a closing even-par 72 to finish at joint 56th in the 2022 Lotte Championships in Oahu, Hawaii Sunday.

The reigning US Women’s Open champion posted four birdies against two bogeys and a double bogey on the par-4 sixth hole for a four-round aggregate of 292, 15 strokes behind eventual champion Hyo Joo Kim.

The Fil-Japanese had earlier rounds of 73, 74 and 73.

Dottie Ardina, meanwhile, fumbled with a 75 to finish with 293 for a share of 64th place, while Bianca Pagdanganan carded a 69 for 294 to finish tied at 67th place.

Ardina, who had earlier rounds of 72, 75 and 71, managed two birdies but struggled with five bogeys including three at the front nine.

Pagdanganan, who is coming off a disappointing third-round 78, bounced back five birdies against two bogeys. She had earlier rounds of 70 and 77.

Saso’s feat earned her $5,184 (around P270,000), Ardina pocketed $4,508 (around P235,000) while Pagdanganan managed $4,117 (around P214,000) in this $2 million tournament.
