Ex-cop involved in killing of four Army intelligence officers arrested in Zamboanga

ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) operatives arrested on April 15 in Zamboanga City a former policeman implicated in the 2020 killing of four military Intelligence Officers in Jolo, Sulu.
Col. John Francis Encinareal said Abdulzhimer Padjiri y Halisan, 42, a resident of Jolo, Sulu, was arrested for four counts of murder based on a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Sulu.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Padjiri was identified as one of eight former policemen who allegedly shot and killed four military Intelligence officers in what was reported as a misencounter in Jolo, Sulu on June 29, 2020.
The suspects were released in January 2021 but were hunted down by police after a warrant of arrest was issued by the court for murder.
In November 2021, former Jolo police chief Capt. Walter Annayo was shot dead in Maguindanao province where he was assigned after the alleged misencounter incident.
