ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office (PRO-6) kept its anti-drug operations going even during the observance of Holy Week as its operatives caught a couple in possession of shabu worth P380,000 in Pavia town, Iloilo province.
Arrested during a Black Saturday operation were Emil Buyco Sansolis and Krishna Abuno Mabunay, both 40-years-old and residents of Balabag village.
The joint operatives of PRO-6’s Regional Drug Enforcement Unit and Pavia Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation by letting an undercover cop buy shabu worth P24,000 from target suspects Sansolis and Mabunay.
Both Sansolis and Mabuhay had been under surveillance for several months since the police received a tip from an informant that the two are allegedly involved in illegal drug trade.
During the buy-bust, the cops seized at least 10 plastic sachets of shabu weighing approximately 55 grams.
The hierarchy of PRO-6 lauded the anti-drug operation.
“We do not stop operating against law violators, regardless of date or situation,” said Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo in a statement.
“We are always committed to perform our mandate in keeping the communities safe from these illegal drug dealers,” added Dongbo.
