Businessman found dead inside his motel in Pangasinan; police in hot pursuit of suspects
MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – The manager and owner of Ipil-Ipil Inn in Barangay Cabatling in this town was found dead in one of the hotel’s rooms on Saturday.
Domingo Barboza Desola, 67, a widower and a resident of Brgy. Cabatling was found by his son Jodeson Valdez Desola, 34, and the inn’s caretaker Romy Espinoza Ordoño.
Investigator said the victim sustained severe injury on his face.
A plate that may have been used by the suspects in the commission of the crime was recovered inside the room.
Prior to the incident, on April 15, live-in-partners Prince Alfie Montemayor, 28 , a resident of Brgy. Binalay, Malasiqui and a certain Marlyn Rivera, alleged G.R.O. and a resident of Cavite City, had checked in at the room where the victim was found dead.
A check on the room on the same day revealed that the said live-in-partners were no longer in their rented bedroom, but their assorted clothes and a backpack were there, as well as the bloodied body of the inn owner.
Personnel of Malasiqui Police station are now conducting a hot pursuit operation against the suspects and are trying to determine the motive in the crime.
