No tropical cyclone is expected to develop near or inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) in the next three days, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday, April 16.

“For the next three days maganda po ang panahon natin. mga pag-ulan na mararanasan ay pulu-pulong pag-ulan panandaliang pag-ulan lamang (Fair weather will persist in the next three days. The rains that we will experience are isolated and short-term rains only),” said PAGASA weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin in a public weather forecast.
This, according to Bulquerin, means that the country may experience generally fair weather with a slight chance of isolated rains that may occur in the afternoon or evening.
Meanwhile, in the next 24 hours, the northeasterly surface windflow may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in extreme northern Luzon.
The state weather bureau warned residents against possible flash floods and landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.
