Muntinlupa police collar 5 most wanted persons


Muntinlupa police arrested five most wanted persons in the city in manhunt operations during Holy Week.

On April 12, the police arrested Emerson Atoli, 30, construction worker, listed as the No. 1 most wanted person in the second quarter of 2022.

He was nabbed based on warrants of arrests issued by three Muntinlupa courts. Presiding Judge Patria Manalastas-De Leon of Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205 issued a warrant of arrest with a bail of P100,000 against Atoli for robbery with violence against or intimidation of persons docketed in a criminal case Nov 4, 2008.

Presiding Judge Paulino Gallegos of the Muntinlupa Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 80 also issued a warrant of arrest for attempted homicide with a bail of P12,000 against the suspect under a case dated Nov. 6, 2008.

Presiding Judge Philip Aguinaldo of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 207 issued a warrant of arrest with a bail of P6,000 against Atoli for slight physical injuries under a criminal case dated Nov. 18, 2021.

The Muntinlupa police also served a warrant of arrest to Armando Manalo, listed as No. 7 most wanted person, at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology jail in San Pedro, Laguna on April 14.

His warrant of arrest with a bail of P180,000 was issued by Presiding Judge Maria Cecilia Austria-Chua of the Batangas City Regional Trial Court Branch 2 for violation of Republic Act 6539 (Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972) under a case dated Nov. 25, 2014.

Manalo has been detained at the San Pedro jail since Nov. 5, 2014 for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) in two cases filed with the San Pedro Regional Trial Court Branch 93.

In addition, the Muntinlupa police also arrested Sherwin Aguila, 30, construction worker, listed as the No. 8 most wanted person on April 14 at Espeleta Pantalan, Barangay Poblacion, Muntinlupa.

His warrant of arrest with bail of P120,000 was issued by Presiding Judge Liezel Aquaitan of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205 for attempted murder under a case dated March 2, 2022.

Suspect Mark Louie Lozano, 29, the Muntinlupa police’s No. 9 most wanted person, was arrested on April 14 on National Road in Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa.

Presiding Judge Aguinaldo issued a warrant of arrest with a bail of P200,000 against Lozano for lascivious conduct under Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) under case dated Feb. 14, 2022.

Lozano has been detained at the Muntinlupa City jail since March 1, 2022 for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Meanwhile, Reneboy Payong Ayong, the police’s No. 10 most wanted person, was served with a warrant of arrest at the Biñan City Jail in Biñan, Laguna on April 13.

President Judge Aquaitan issued a warrant of arrest without bail against him for qualified possession of a small firearm under Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) in a case dated March 14, 2022.

The suspect has been detained at the Biñan City Jail since March 18, 2022 for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Southern Police District director Jimili Macaraeg commended the Muntinlupa police under Col. Angel Garcillano, police chief, for the arrest of the most wanted persons.

“I am pleased with the dedication shown by our policemen because of their relentless operations despite our observance of Holy Week (for Catholics). This only indicates that your Southern Metro Police will do their mandated job anytime and focus not only on illegal drugs but also on hunting wanted persons to bring them to the folds of justice and to answer for their crimes,” said Macaraeg.
