DSWD leads Covid-19 vaccine information drive in Zamboanga del Sur
Aside from mass vaccination, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) facilitated a Covid-19 vaccine information drive in Zamboanga del Sur.

In support of the vaccination program of the national government against Covid-19, DSWD conducted mass vaccination and information drive activities for its program beneficiaries, particularly the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program also known as 4Ps.
“This initiative of the DSWD, in partnership with the City Health of Pagadian, aimed to encourage the 4Ps beneficiaries to get vaccinated against ,” said DSWD on Thursday, April 14.
In relation to this, health reform advocate and former special adviser of the National Task Force (NTF) against Covid-19 Dr. Anthony “Tony” Leachon previously stated that “vaccine education” may help increase awareness and encourage the public to get inoculated and boosted against the disease.
Meanwhile, a total of 298 house-hold beneficiaries from at least 54 barangays of Pagadian were vaccinated during the activity which was held on March 30, said DSWD.
Furthermore, the Department of Health’s (DOH) National Covid-19 Vaccination Dashboard showed that as of March 30, a total of 65,885,048 individuals have received two doses of vaccines, while only 12,018,418 Filipinos have so far been boosted against the disease.
