3 Gigil Agency campaigns recognized by The One Show

Independent ideas agency Gigil Philippines received three shortlists under the Film and Social Media categories of The One Show 2022, one of the world’s most prestigious award programs in advertising, design, and digital marketing.

The agency made it to the Film shortlist with two local brands — Cheers and JolliSavers. Their work for Netflix “Red Notice” also gained recognition in the Social Media category.

Here are a few of the Gigil campaigns that made it to The One Show 2022 Shortlist:

Cheers, a local party supplies brand with a complete range of paper and plasticware, partnered with Gigil to create a new campaign during the pandemic, pivoting their products for the home. The resulting work has been shortlisted under the Film category.

Gigil released its first-ever campaign for the Filipino fast-food giant Jollibee for JolliSavers. Dubbed,  “Di Dapat Mahal Maging Masaya” (“Happiness Shouldn’t Cost You Much”) campaign, it rolled out with a series of three films released online, garnering over 50-million total views and 19,000 shares. It also belonged to the Top 10 Jollibee campaigns with the longest watch time, ranking at No. 2. This series has made it to the Film category shortlist.

Netflix “Red Notice” is the streaming platform’s biggest film of 2021. To promote this blockbuster heist flick, Gigil and Netflix pulled off the biggest heist by stealing the SM MOA Globe.

The campaign became the No. 1 trending topic on Twitter for 12 hours straight, garnering over 1.3-million total engagements, 600,000 organic video shares, and USD 602 thousand in earned media values, all in one night. Red Notice also became the No. 1  film on Netflix during this time.

Gigil Agency Philippines attributes these honors to their clients, for it is because of their courage and trust that the company is able to deliver creative work that drives great business results. In the end, the recognition is  just a means to meet that ultimate objective.

The One Show 2022 finalists will be announced on the week of April 24, 2022, and the awards ceremony will be held during Creative Week (May 16 - 20, 2022) in New York, U.S.A.
