Quezon City Police District (QCPD) operatives seized from six alleged drug dealers some P578,000 worth of alleged shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in two separate buy-busts in Quezon City.
Police identified the suspects as Junaid Mopum, 31; Remal Gaos, 33; Saad Saleling, 22; Asmawel Tuma, 32; and Matitim Saed, 28, all residents of Barangay Holy Spirit, QC.
The first operation was conducted at around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, after the police received information about the suspects’ illegal drug trade.
Recovered from the suspects were 70 grams of alleged shabu worth P476,000 and the buy-bust money.
Meanwhile, another buy-bust operation was conducted by the police around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, in Barangay Tandang Sora.
The operation led to the arrest of suspect Leonardo Oreta, 59, a resident of Barangay Tandang Sora.
Retrieved from the suspect were 15 grams of alleged shabu worth P102,000, a cellphone, and the buy-bust money.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
