Robredo's prexy bid backed by celebrities; ICT group endorses Leni-Kiko tandem
At least two beauty queens and a former child star have endorsed the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo this week, joining a huge array of celebrities, influencers, and famous personalities who already expressed their support.

On the heels of endorsements from Piolo Pascual and Anne Curtis, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza, and former child actress Camille Prats openly announced their support for Robredo.
Wurtzbach, who cast her vote in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) as an overseas absentee voter, revealed it was her first time to vote.
“Today, I am even prouder to have voted for Leni to be our next President. I’m sharing this with you dahil naniniwala ako sa kakayahan ng isang babae. Naniniwala ako at naninindigan ako para kay Leni (because I believe in the capacity of a woman. I believe and I stand for Leni),” she said, adding a pink heart emoji to her Instagram post.
Prats said she only made her political choice public because it took a while for her to think about her decision. But now, she is ready to make a stand for her family and the country.
Tagging Robredo, she wished for God’s guidance in her plans for the country.
“Today, I am taking a stand. For my children’s future and for every Filipino child and family who dream of having a better chance at life. Na araw-araw nating inilalaban at araw-araw ding pinagkakait ng pagkakataon at ng panahon (That every day we are fighting for and every day are being robbed of a chance and time). This is our chance to make things right for our country,” the actress wrote on Instagram.

Versoza, on the other hand, posted a photo of her while wearing a pink crop top.
She captioned it with, “Think pink (pink hearts and ribbon emoji) #Letlenilead.”
Meanwhile, a group of more than a hundred Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Information and Communications and Technology (ICT) eaders and practitioners also declared their support for Robredo and her running mate, Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.
“We stand solidly behind the candidates we have chosen as our next President and Vice President: VP Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. They have consistently and untiringly demonstrated their dedication to serving the interests of our people. We believe they will deliver on their promise of a ‘Gobyernong Tapat, Angat Buhay Lahat (Honest Government, Better Lives For All)’. They represent the hope for the future our nation desperately needs now,” the statement read.
The group said it can no longer be “bystanders” after six years of mismanagement, corruption, absent leadership, inaction in protecting the country’s sovereignty, warped values and priorities, fake news, and impunity.
“We commit ourselves to the #LeniKiko campaign, individually and collectively. We cannot do anything less. Our nation and future generations deserve nothing less,” the statement added.
