Priest to faithful: Spread Good News not fake news this Holy Week
A Catholic priest has asked the faithful to spread Christ's Good News and not fake news this Holy Week.

Msgr. Pedro Gerardo Santos, parish priest of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Makati City, issued the call after learning that some residences were asked to switch off their pink neon lights once the procession passed by their homes supposedly ordered by the Church.
He said he did not release or announced such a directive.
Santos then asked everyone to use these sacred days to "truly reflect on the Lord's Passion rather than advancing one's political agenda."
"I humbly request everyone to keep the solemnity of these mga mahal na araw (holy days) by praying and reflecting rather than campaigning nor proliferating fake news. Instead, let us spread Christ's Good News," he said in a letter dated April 13.
"I hope to see everyone taking an active part in our Paschal Triduum celebration starting tomorrow, Maundy Thursday, until our Easter Vigil Mass and Salubong on Saturday," added Santos.
