'7 Last Words' online on Good Friday

The “7 Last Words” produced by the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) Philippine Central Province, will be aired on April 15, from 12 noon to 3 p.m.

The “7 Last Words,” a traditional reflection on the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice for us on the cross, will be held at the Shrine of Jesus the Divine Word, Christ the King Mission Seminary Compound, E. Rodriguez Boulevard, Quezon City.

The program, produced by the SVD Mission Communications Foundations (MCFI), will be aired over Skycable, Kapamilya (former ABS-CBN) Channel 8, Cignal Cable 22, A2Z Channel 11 and simulcast on Facebook and YouTube.

Fr. Jerome Marquez, SVD, provincial superior, Central Province, will give the introduction.

Five SVD priests, one layman, and a bishop, who will preach on the theological significance of Jesus’ last words, are: Fr. Jerry Orbos, Fr. Ben Beltran, Bro. Bo Sanchez, Fr. Jay de Leon, Fr. Dondion Soriano, Fr. Ritche Maguinda, Bishop Honesto F. Ongtioco, DD.

Inspirational sharers, who will speak on their faith experience and God’s love based on the 7 Last Words, are: Ms. Cherry Pie Picache, Raffy De Leon, Geoff-Jewels Mercado, Mark David, Bro. Bobby-Sis. Techie Rodriguez, Fr. Ritche Maguinda, Sr. Angel Libron, SSpS.

To lead the family prayers are: Crisostomo-Julia Echavez, Lito-Peewe Villanueva, Renato-Engr. Menchie dela Cruz, Engr. Albert-Freda Gemora, Jimmy-Rensyl Macling, Engr. Mauricio-Victoria Roque, Drs. Samuel-Elizabeth Verzosa.

Performers will be: St. Paul’s Sisters Choir, Vocalismo Choral Group; soloists: Elbenson Rescober, Fr. Paul Aquino, SVD. Executive producer is Fr. Bel San Luis, SVD; and hosts are: Clarissa Belmonte Reyes, Mark Cabrera.
