Aside from battling psoriasis for more than four decades now, Ai Ai delas Alas is allergic to rice and corn.
She revealed this Sunday via a press conference for her comeback teleserye on GMA, "Raising Mamay."
The Comedy Queen admitted this is why she can't relate to the Filipino adage "rice is life."
Though it's hard in the beginning.
"Mahirap talaga. Paano mo kakainin ang sinigang at kare-kare ng walang rice," she added in jest.
If anything, the 57-year-old star is thankful her condition pushed her to live a healthier lifestyle.
In fact, for six years now, she has been eating organic food.
She revealed in previous interviews that her shift to "organic lifestyle" helped a lot financially, relating how her monthly maintenance for psoriasis costs P200,000.
Ai Ai also shared her diet regimen relating how she only eats boiled and baked food.
She also avoid preservatives, dairy, and gluten.
Ai Ai is thankful that since then she hasn't experienced asthma and vertigo attacks.
Her psoriasis doesn't flare up as much as well.
On the other hand, Ai Ai also talked about her new project, deeming it a "blessing."
In fact, she even expressed gratitude to GMA for the opportunity.
Note that Ai Ai went to the US with her husband Gerald Sibayan last year.
She flew back to the Philippines just for the project.

Asked what made her say yes to "Raising Mamay," Ai Ai said she doesn't want to turn down an opportunity, pointing out how there are lots of people who don't have a job.
In terms of playing the complex role of Letty, who has age regression following a traumatic injury, Ai Ai admitted she felt challenged giving justice to the said character.
In fact, she went beyond her way, doing some immersion, studying how someone with the condition should talk and act.
Ai Ai revealed they actually have psychiatrists and neurologists as advisers on set.
As for the things the viewer will learn from the show, Ai Ai mentioned unconditional love.
"It doesn't mean na pag hindi mo kadugo, di mo pwedeng mahalin ng buong puso or unconditional," she said.
Note that in there, Shayne Sava will play the role of Letty's adoptive daughter.
Ai Ai maintained that she could relate to her character, as she was adopted.
"In real life, as a mother, dream kong maging isang mabuting ina. Kasi di ba adopted ako, di ako lumaki sa biological nanay ko. Auntie na nagpalaki sa akin kaso busy din siya at medyo mahigpit. So kung ano yung hindi ko naramdaman bilang bata ayun ang pinaparamdam ko sa mga anak ko."
Later, the Kapuso star got emotional when asked about her late biological mom.
Ai Ai said she would never forget the time when her mother, who passed away in 2013, asked for her forgiveness.
She related how her mom felt guilty putting her up for adoption.
The seasoned star noted that she understands her mom's reasoning, sharing how their family wasn't well off.
Ai Ai said she felt her mother's "sincerity."
