'Remain humble': Marcos backers told to 'keep feet on the ground' amid good developments
The camp of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos is telling its supporters and campaigners to remain humble despite successive positive signs that point to a potential big victory in the polls next month.

"We continue to urge all our supporters, campaigners, volunteers, organizers and leaders to keep their feet on the ground despite the magnanimous affirmations the BBM-Sara UniTeam is receiving from all over the country without let-up," Marcos spokesman, lawyer Vic Rodriguez said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
"For it is only through humility and vigilance we may deserve victory come election day," added Rodriguez.
The Marcos camp is still basking in the endorsement of One Cebu, the dominant political party in Cebu province, which has an estimated voting population of 3.2 million.
In the backdrop of this is Marcos's continued strong performance in pre-election surveys and the declaration of support from national poltical parties like the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) Cusi wing, National Unity Party (NUP), and Nacionalista Party (NP).
"We are humbled by One Cebu Party’s endorsement of Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.’s presidential bid. We are glad that One Cebu Party, with chapters in 44 municipalities and seven cities in the vote-rich province of Cebu, finally joins hands with the UniTeam Alliance for a “shared vision that will guide and lead the nation in the goal to achieve sustainable growth and development of Cebu and the rest of the regions in the country", Rodriguez said.
One Cebu previously endorsed the candidacy of Marcos's running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. Marcos and Duterte comprise the UniTeam.
"Not only shall we remain humble, but we shall also remain alert until every Filipino has heard and realized that our message of unity is the crucial first step to heal, recover and rebound from the damages the Covid-19 pandemic has inflicted on the nation," Rodriguez further said.
"Furthermore, we submit to vigilance and vote protection as victory is achieved only on election day, when every ballot has already been confirmed and counted," he said.
