There is no internal conflict within the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

This was according to Comelec Commissioner George Erwin M. Garcia amid controversies surrounding the resignation of Commissioner Soccoro B. Inting as chairperson of Committee on Firearms and Security Concerns (CFSC).
“So, ang aking pakiusap maniwala po kayo, sa akin po kayo maniwala, wala pong (I am asking you, please believe me, there is no) internal whatever,” he said during a television interview.
In a text message to the Manila Bulletin, Garcia reiterated: “Nothing at all. In fact kanina (a while ago), everybody participated in the en banc meeting / deliberation.”
He said that the focus of the poll body is on the upcoming May 2022 elections.
Inting resigned as CFSC head on Tuesday, April 12, a day after the Comelec en banc voted 4-3, which gave Comelec Chairperson Saidamen B. Pangarungan the power to grant gun ban exemptions.
In the statement of Inting to reporters, she said her resignation is a form of “passive protest”
“I am a justice by heart than a Comelec commissioner. I will maintain a dignified silence,” Inting said.
