Muntinlupa LGU announces half-day work for employees on Holy Wednesday
The Muntinlupa City government has suspended work for all of its employees from noon on April 13, Holy Wednesday.
“Work in the City Government of Muntinlupa shall only be from 8 a.m. to 12 nn on 13 April 2022, Holy Wednesday. This shall afford all employees greater opportunity to observe the solemnity of Holy Week and to enjoy a longer holiday break with their respective families,” according to a memorandum order issued by Mayor Jaime Fresnedi.

He added that “personnel responsible for health, rescue and emergency response, peace and order, including law enforcement, traffic management and fire prevention and control, and similarly-situated operations shall remain on alert and ready to respond to any contingency.”
Other government agencies have also issued similar memos, announcing half-day work for employees.
In the Philippines, Maundy Thursday, which falls on April 14, and Holy Friday on April 15, are regular holidays.
