According to Variety, Toni left the production due to schedule conflicts.
KC is now to play the role originally assigned to Toni, that of lead star Filipino-American actor Dante Basco's screen wife.
Production is ongoing in New York.
KC updated fans via social media: “Onto day 3 of filming @asianpersuasionfilm! Thank you for joining us on this new journey. Grateful to be part of this Asian-American project, with our amazing cast & crew.”
Her dad, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, was quick to congratulate KC.
So did some of her celebrity friends including Lovi Poe, Iza Calzado, Vina Morales and Arci Muñoz, among many others.
Sharon Cuneta is yet to comment.
Aside from KC and Dante, the film will also feature Black Eyed Peas’ Apl.de.Ap, Yam Concepcion, Rachel Alejandro, Rex Navarrete, and Tony Labrusca.
