IATF prods nat'l gov't agencies, LGUs to implement 10-Point Policy Agenda on Economic Recovery
The government's pandemic task force has called for the implementation of the 10-Point Policy Agenda on Economic Recovery and urged all government agencies to ensure all related policies, measures, and programs are aligned with the Ten-Point Policy Agenda, Malacañang said.

In a statement, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said that the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases made the move on Tuesday, April 12.
The Ten-Point Policy Agenda on Economic Recovery, which Malacañang issued on March 21, 2022, aims to aid in accelerating and sustaining economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic and a whole-of-government approach to align all economic recovery programs and measures of the national government.
It likewise aims to keep the country more resilient under the New Normal. The Ten-Point Agenda retains the existing Alert Levels System while easing domestic and international travel restrictions, public transport capacity, and face-to-face classes.
According to Andanar, the IATF enjoined local government units (LGUs) to actively implement the same policies, measures, and programs.
The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) shall ensure and monitor government agencies' compliance with the Ten-Point Policy Agenda on Economic Recovery. It shall periodically report the same to the President through the Office of the Executive Secretary.
Meanwhile, upon the recommendations of the Sub-Technical Working Group on Data Analytics, Andanar said workplaces shall continue reporting Covid-19 cases to their respective Local Epidemiology and Surveillance Units pending the completion of the pilot implementation of the sentinel surveillance systems.
This year, the government has started to ease Covid-19 restrictions, even opening the country to fully vaccinated international travelers.
However, this week, President Duterte said the country would not go maskless as long as he is in office. He made this pronouncement following reports of a resurgence of Covid-19 infections in neighboring Asian countries and the discovery of the new Omicron XE variant.
"I'll just state my case -- There is no way that mask will not be required," he said on April 11.
"It will be part of the protocol for a long time until the last day of my office. 'Yan ang order ko at 'yan ang sundin niyo (That's my order and you should follow that)," he added.
The President reiterated his call for the public to get vaccinated and continue following health protocols as the country cannot afford another surge of Covid-19 cases.
"We cannot, hardly, afford to meet another wave of the pandemic," he said.
