K-pop idol group BTS drew 100,000 people to the first two days of their Las Vegas concert on April 8 and 9.

BTS held their "BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-Las Vegas" concert at Allegiant Stadium, the third leg of the tour after Los Angeles and Seoul.

A representative of HYBE told Manila Bulletin that the April 8 and 9 shows drew approximately 50,000 per day for a total of 100,000 fans in two days.

One of them was Juliet Macabeo-Bryant, who drove for eight hours from San Francisco to Las Vegas to watch BTS on April 9 with her two friends.

“I’ve been a fan since 2019. I was going to their concert in San Francisco in 2020 but got canceled due to Covid-19,” she said.

She was excited to see BTS perform and said she will watch their concert again.

“Overall, their concert was very good and exciting. My voice became hoarse because of the shouting. They are really popular here. We were not the oldest at the concert. There were even people who were older than me,” added Juliet.

They are still in Las Vegas and they tried to get tickets for the April 15 show but there were no available for the price they wanted with Juliet saying, “We wanted to extend our stay in Vegas.”

She said she hopes BTS will hold a concert in San Francisco so she can watch them again.

“I would definitely watch them again if ever they would go to San Francisco,” she added.

During the April 9 show, BTS’ J-Hope told the crowd, “Actually I thought I was in the ocean right now. So this is a city in the desert but I feel like I’m at the ocean. I saw your wave.”

“These days I’m really happy because of you guys. I want nothing more than to hear your voices, look you in the eye. Thank you for coming today. Thank you for your love,” said Jimin.

Jungkook commented, “Today I’m full of energy. I love you all.”

Jin revealed that “when we were getting ready about four to five hours ago, all the members were like . . . we just don’t have the energy today. The way I see it, ARMY is like our battery.”

“Two years ago, I had no idea that we would still be wearing our masks. If there’s something that we got out of the pandemic is that the moment you try to control things that are out of control, that is when things get tough. This is what we want to do. We just want to go with you together, like the wind blows, like the water flows, just be with you, let’s see what happens,” said Suga.

V said, “Today we’re meeting the ARMY for the second day. We really, really missed you.”

RM recalled his first US trip with his family when he was 15 in 2009. He said the last stop was Las Vegas.

He was amazed by the neon lights and told himself that when he grew up, he wanted to come back to Las Vegas.

“I never thought I would come back on this amazing state with all of my loved ones. Thank you for my coming back to Las Vegas, for making this night very special,” said RM.

BTS will hold the last two Las Vegas shows on April 15 and 16.
