New optometrists to take oath on April 22

All new passers of the Optometrist Licensure Examination are set to have their virtual oathtaking on April 22, said the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Monday, April 11.

In an advisory, the Commission said that the online oathtaking will be conducted on April 22 at 10 a.m. and it will be spearheaded by PRC-Lucena via Zoom.

“Inductees shall wear formal or business attire and use a white physical or virtual background throughout the oathtaking ceremony. Inductees are required to print the Oath of Professional form that is downloadable at the PRC online services,” it said.

Meanwhile, participants were likewise tasked to secure an appointment schedule at the PRC’s website and select “e-oath” as the transaction.

“The online registration will close five calendar days before the oathtaking day,” said PRC.
