Nexplay Evos showed up and dominated ECHO with a rousing 2-0 sweep in the final match of the MPL Philippines on Sunday, April 10 to get the much-needed momentum heading to the playoffs.

Losing its first meeting via forfeiture after failing to arrive at the venue in time, Nexplay was quick to make its presence felt as it rode the blazing performance from Raniel “Ureshiii” Logronio to topple ECHO and shatter its upper bracket dreams.
Ureshiii on the Esmeralda played a huge role in Game 1 win as he held the fort against Frediemar “3martzy” Serafico’s Thamuz and Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno’s Helcurt as the two teams engaged in a race to each other bases.
With four heroes marching in the top lane for NXPE and Ureshii clearing the minion waves on the other side, Nexplay drew the series’ first blood with a 17-16 win
ECHO actually had the chance to end the game at the 16-minute mark with only three heroes left to defend the base for NXPE against three players and the Lord from the ECHO side.
Cadenza though landed a crucial hook on Karltzy’s Helcurt which allowed Donut to pop the cross bow of thangs ultimate to take down two ECHO players and complete the base defense.
Ureshiii who finished with a 2-2-11 also made the big plays prior as he managed to zone four ECHO heroes as Yellyhaze on the Xavier unloaded the dawning Light ultimate that pierced through ECHO players in that clash to score a triple kill and finish with a 7-1-6 line.
The momentum carried over in Game 2 as the two teams sticked to most of their drafts from Game 1. But just like in the opener, it was Ureshiii who took the spotlight with a spotless 6-0-2 line on his Dyrroth.
He also secured the kill on Karltzy’s Helcurt during the first turtle fight which shut down the early game potential of ECHO’s lineup. NXPE steamrolled from that point as Ureshiii capped his fiery show with a Maniac in the final clash.
