QUEZON -- Three brothers who are suspected of being hired killers and allegedly involved in illegal drugs were arrested in Barangay Del Rosario and Barangay Cabay in Tiaong town on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
Colonel Joel A Villanueva, head of the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO), identified the suspects as Teodoro Aquino Satumba, 34, a resident of Brgy. Del Rosario Tiaong, Quezon; Abelardo Aquino Satumba, 47, and Lorenzo Aquino Satumba, 43, and both residents of Sitio Ibaba, Brgy. Cabay, Tiaong, Quezon.
Based on the police report, the three brothers are suspected of gun-for-hire, and are believed to be operating in some parts in Quezon, Batangas and Cavite provinces.
The suspects are also involved in the spread of illegal drugs in Tiaong town, as well as in other towns and neighboring provinces.
The suspects were arrested during a series of operations, Saturday morning, April 9, 2022 wherein the police served the three brothers search warrant in violation of R.A. 10591.
Villanueva added that the combined forces of Regional Intelligence Division-4A, Regional Intelligence Team- Quezon, Batangas and Cavite, Regional Special Operation Unit, Tiaong PNP, Provincial Intelligence Team Quezon, 1st Quezon Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Philippine Army carried out the operations.
As the result, the operatives found a .9mm caliber gun with a magazine and six rounds of ammunition in Teodoro’s possession, .38 caliber revolver and four bullets, a .30 caliber Carbine rifle, two Carbine magazines, a .45 caliber Colt pistol and five bullets, a stabilizer, and two springs for the .45 caliber were confiscated from Abelardo.
Also confiscated from Abelardo were a fragmentation hand grenade, a cleaning kit, a weighing scale and two sachets of suspected shabu, and an improvised water pipe tooter.
Confiscated from Lorenzo were Armscor .45 caliber with a magazine and nine bullets inside the holster.
