Sen. Tolentino endorses Pateros mayor, party mates

Senator Francis Tolentino has endorsed the candidacies of reelectionist Pateros Mayor Miguel Ponce III, vice mayoral bet John Peter Marzan, and their party-mates under the Team Action Isang Pateros (AIP) coalition.

“It is my honor to support the candidacy of Mayor Ike Ponce of Pateros and all of his group. He is a great mayor and honest in service. Again, let us support Team Ponce of the Municipality of Pateros, Metro Manila,” said Tolentino, who is a member of the PDP-Laban party.

He added, “Even though Pateros is small in Metro Manila, it always shows unity."

Ponce is running for his third and last term as mayor of Pateros. He was first elected in 2016 and reelected in 2019.

Allan Cerafica is running for congressman under the Team AIP.

Team AIP’s candidates for councilor in the first district of Pateros are Hapon Abiño, Jay Mabanglo, Cesar Llagas, Allan Dela Cruz, Ador Rosales and Nap Dionisio.

For the second district, the candidates for councilor are Jun Ling, Totong Cortez, Bojic Raymundo, Ayie Ampe, Ramos Roxas and Joven Gatpayat.

Ponce topped two recent surveys for the May 9 elections. In Publicus’ Pahayag NCR Tracker Survey held from March 16 to 21 among 1,648 registered Filipino voters in Metro Manila including 48 in Pateros, Ponce is No. 1 with 64.6 percent against rival Marilyn Chiong who got 12.5 percent.

In the survey by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) in the National Capital Region, Ponce got 87 percent while Chiong received two percent.

The RPMD’s NCR Boses ng Bayan 2022 election survey was conducted from March 15-21 among 10,000 registered voters aged 18 to 65 in the NCR.
