President Duterte’s neutrality in terms of endorsing any presidential candidate only means one thing for presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao: he does not like former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Pacquiao claimed Friday that Duterte’s decision not to endorse any presidential bet is also a rebuke to Marcos’ candidacy, considering the fact that the latter is running along with the president’s daughter, aspiring vice president Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
“Ang ibig sabihin noon may gusto siyang eendorso pero tahimik na lang siya dahil ayaw nya na maipit yung anak niya (That means he wants to endorse someone, but he just keeps his silence because he doesn’t want his daughter to be caught in the middle),” Pacquiao told reporters during his visit to Negros Occidental.
Pacquiao is also firm in believing that Duterte does not really like Marcos Jr.
“Ayaw nya ng mag endorso talaga ng may issue ng droga (He doesn’t want to endorse a candidate who has issues with illegal drugs),” Pacquiao said, recalling a time Duterte insinuated that a presidential candidate is linked to illegal drugs.
