A month going into May polls, Robredo campaigns in typhoon Odette-hit Bohol

PANGLAO, Bohol —Aspiring president Vice President Robredo enters the final month of campaigning before the May 9 polls by barnstorming Bohol on Friday, April 1.

Robredo is expected to grace the DILAAB: Bohol People's Rally Friday afternoon, which, according to organizers, "could turn out to be the biggest event in Bohol."

The grand rally will be staged at the Old Tagbilaran City Airport.

Robredo will be joined by her running mate Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, and their senatorial slate.

Organizers said DILAAB, similar to previous rallies of the Robredo-Pangilinan tandem, will be star-studded. Among the celebrity supporters in attendance are veteran actress Agot Isidro; hosts and comedians Ogie Diaz and Mama Loi; social media star Macoy Dubs; actor Elijah Canlas; and OPM bands Ben&Ben and Spongecola.

Before the day's "main event," the Vice President is scheduled to meet with the province's local officials and supporters who have actively been campaigning for her.

She is currently in Lanao del Sur to have a dialogue with the Bamboo Landers Multi-Sectoral Rural Workers Association, which consists of over 70 members from various sectors, including women, men, youth, and farmers.

The association has been one of the Office of the Vice President's (OVP) beneficiaries through its Sustainable Livelihood and Training (SLT) Program. In February 2022, the group received a livelihood subsidy worth P 257,265 for their garments production.

Robredo's latest visit here was in December 2021, after the onslaught of typhoon Odette which devastated several areas in Bohol.

The presidential aspirant was one of the first government officials to visit the province after the typhoon to assess first-hand the damages the typhoon caused and bring the necessary aid to affected families as part of the OVP relief operations.
