2 fishermen arrested in Las Pinas drug buy-bust

The Southern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DEU) arrested two fishermen in a buy-bust operation and confiscated from them P115,600 worth of shabu, Thursday night (March 31) in Las Pinas City.

SPD Director, Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, identified the suspects as Claudio Castillo,42; and Rolando Longatang, 43, both residents of Las Pinas City.

Macaraeg said the suspects were arrested at around 9:30 p.m. along Kawayanan Tambakan, Barangay Pulanglupa, Las Pinas City.

He said members of the SPD-DEU were able to confiscate from the suspects 17 grams of shabu worth P115,600.

The SPD chief said members of the SPD-DEU also recovered from Longatang one 12-gauge shotgun loaded with two live ammunition.

Macaraeg said the suspects were brought to the SPD-DEU custodial facility and appropriate charges will be filed against them.,
