114 couples say 'I Do' in Las Pinas' Kasalang Bayan

A total of 114 couples said “I Do's” in Las Pinas' “Kasalang Bayan” (Mass Wedding) held at the Verdant covered court, Barangay Pamplona 3 on Thursday, March 31.

The city government, led by Mayor Imelda Aguilar, in coordination with the City Social Welfare and Development Office, held the Kasalang Bayan for the benefit of the 114 couples who have been living without the benefit of marriage.

Aguilar said Vice-Mayor April Aguilar personally witnessed the Kasalang Bayan for the 114 couples which was solemnized by Fr. Rommel Rana.

The couples received a personal gift package from the mayor and vice mayor containing wedding rings, cakes, wines, and food packs.

Symbolic wedding rites such as the release of white doves were held after the couples exchanged their vows.

The mayor said the “Kasalang Bayan” is also part of the city’s 25th cityhood and 115th founding anniversary.
