A total of 106 Navotenos have completed the technical-vocational education and training conducted by the Navotas Vocational Training and Assessment (Navotaas) on Thursday, March 31.
“We congratulate all our graduates and commend them for taking the opportunity to upgrade their skills and improve their abilities. We will have more and numerous employment opportunities once our 343-hectare Tanza Airport Support Services have been completed,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said during the virtual ceremony.
“Visit our Navotaas Hanapbuhay Center if you need assistance looking for jobs or starting your own business. We have various programs tailored to helping Navoteños secure gainful employment and sustainable livelihood,” he added.
Of the said number, 22 graduated from Shielded Metal Arc Welding II, 24 from Food and Beverage Services NC II, 23 from Bread and Pastry Production NC II, six from tailoring NC II, and seven from Manicure and Pedicure Leading to Beauty Care NC II.
Meanwhile, 10 finished the basic Korean language and culture while 14 trainees completed the Basic Visual Graphic Design Course.
Currently, the city government has four training centers for residents and non-residents.
Residents may study at the institute for free while non-residents may enroll and take assessment exams for a fee, depending on the course they will take.
In March this year, the city also welcomed 86 new skilled workers who completed various courses at the Navotaas Institute.
