New songs on self-love and survival to celebrate Women's Month

Pinay power takes the spotlight in music in the celebration of Women’s Month this March as local artists deliver their inspiring and empowering messages to fellow ladies through their respective song releases. 

Check out the timely messages incorporated in the songs of ABS-CBN Music artists Janah Zaplan and the Tres Marias:

SELF-CARE WITH “MAIBA NAMAN” BY JANAH ZAPLAN

Aliw Awards 2019 Best Pop Artist Janah empowers women of all ages to speak out for themselves in her new song “Maiba Naman,” which was composed by Trisha Denise.

The new dance-pop tune stirs a movement from putting other people first to prioritizing self-love above all else as the song goes, “Maiba naman, maiba naman. Unahin ang sarili bago magbigay sa iba.”

CHEERS TO MOVING FORWARD WITH “BEER DITO” BY TRES MARIAS

“Beer Dito" is the comeback single of Tres Marias—composed of OPM greats Bayang Barrios, Cooky Chua, and Lolita Carbon—after taking a long hiatus.

The women trio now dedicates the light-hearted pop-rock tune to everyone who has to endure unrequited love and is trying to find a way to move on past the heartbreak. Sigfried Ranada wrote “Beer Dito,” which was produced by Mike Villegas.
