Korean singer, 'Meteor Garden' star Barbie Hsu announce marriage

Korean singer DJ Koo (real name: Koo Jun-yup), 52, and “Meteor Garden” star Barbie Hsu, 45, got married.

The two stars announced their marriage on Instagram on March 8.

"We are married. Some 20 years ago, we were in love. Both of us later wanted to carry forward that precious gift. Upon hearing about her divorce, I tried my luck to find her number, then we reconnected. So much time we've missed, but no more,” DJ Koo wrote on Instagram, according to Taiwan News.

He added, “Therefore, I proposed marriage, and she eventually accepted. From now on, we will live together. I wish to have your support and best wishes, as it has taken me so long to get married.”

The marriage announcement came after Hsu and husband Wang Xiaofei announced their divorce in November last year after 10 years of marriage. They have two children.

Barbie Hsu is best known for playing the role of Shan Cai in the 2001 Taiwanese drama “Meteor Garden” wherein she co-starred with Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu.

DJ Koo and Hsu dated 24 years ago. The two met at one of DJ Koo’s concerts in Taiwan in 1998, Taiwan News added. They dated but broke up after one year as DJ Koo’s agency prohibited dating.
